The Water Quantity Geodatabase (WQGDB) is a standard database framework designed to coordinate the maintenance and collection of Water Budget and Water Quantity Risk Assessment information completed under the Clean Water Act. The geodatabase assists Source Protections Areas to store, query and view the water budget results produced for their Technical Assessment Reports and, once complete, can provide powerful new insights into water quantity management within each jurisdiction.
The Water Quantity Flat File (WQFF) is a simplified, derivative product of the Water Quantity Geodatabase which contains provincial summary results from the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Water Quantity Stress Assessments, which are subwatershed assessments of cumulative water supply versus cumulative water demand required under the Clean Water Act.
